An inter­na­tional cover girl with mil­lions of sales world­wide, Katy Perry’s ‘I Kissed a Girl’ was a Num­ber One air­play smash in 22 coun­tries. Her third album, ‘Teen­age Dream’ sold almost 200,000 cop­ies in its first week of release and she has matched a record pre­vi­ously only held by Michael Jack­son in hav­ing 5 singles from the same album to reach num­ber one.

Her Indian wed­ding to comedian Rus­sell Brand was one of the most talked about inter­na­tional celebrity events of 2010, and with a sell out tour and a Hol­ly­wood movie debut (as the voice of Smurfette in the The Smurfs movie) in 2011, her fame is going from strength to strength.

That being said, a product needs more than an asso­ci­ation with an artist to be suc­cess­ful. On Novem­ber 12th 2010, Jig­saw ESL brought forth it’s most com­pel­ling pro­ject yet – we launched pop sen­sa­tion Katy Perry’s fab­ulous debut fra­grance, Purr. The launch took place in Sel­fridges, Lon­don, and the beau­ti­ful fra­grance became a best seller overnight.
Katy is the prin­cess of pop at the moment and her per­fume cap­tures her essence and per­son­al­ity per­fectly. It comes in a gor­geous purple cat shaped bottle, embel­lished with diamantes – a real collector’s piece that Katy designed her­self, show­ing her love of all things feline.
The fra­grance is described by Katy as:

 

 “A nat­ural exten­sion of who I am as a woman. It’s a gor­geous blend of all my favour­ite scents and embod­ies my style, my tastes and my love for all things incred­ibly cute.”

The scent itself is a deli­cious, flirty accord, open­ing with enchant­ing top notes of juicy sweet peach nec­tar freshened with dewy green bam­boo and crunchy for­bid­den apple lead­ing us down to a floral garden of white jas­mine blos­som, hot pink freesia and Bul­garian roses. All of this is then envel­oped in exotic indul­gent tones of vanilla orchid, warm white amber, creamy san­dal­wood and nuzz­ling skin musks. The fra­grance truly is delect­able, and to prove it, Purr was presen­ted with the Best New Celebrity Fra­grance award at the 2011 FiFi Awards, in Lon­don, known as the Oscars of the fra­grance industry.

The gor­geous fra­grance is avail­able as a 30, 50 or 100ml EDP, or as part of a stun­ning gift set – made up of a 50ml EDP, 120ml scen­ted shower gel and 120ml shim­mer body lotion.
